Arsenal have offered a contract to Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi who last month had been on trial at Arsenal ahead of breaking his leg when playing a practice match. The Daily Mail published today:
Sources at the 17-year-old’s Chukyodai Chuyko High School said Arsenal officials are due to fly out to agree a preliminary contract with him in the next few days.
Miyaichi is expected to sign a permanent deal until 2015 during next January’s transfer window.
He looks quite a player that we may have on our hands here, so check out this video on our sister site of the player in action!

@dauda, this signing obviously is one for the future, and Young Guns has raved about the kid for over a month. If you’re looking for more senior squad signings, there won’t be any til January at the earliest. The manager does have a plan for the goalkeepers: Let Almunia caretaker the job this season while Szczesny gets more experience, then give the job to the youngster next season. There’s not much that moaning about it will accomplish; The squad is the squad for now, so let’s get behind the lads.
